Foldque
Foldque is a social platform focused on education and mutual assistance. Under applicable data protection laws (including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) for our users in Turkey and the GDPR where applicable), this policy aims to transparently inform you about how your data is collected, used, and shared when using our service.
1. What Data Do We Process?
- Registration and Profile Data: We process information such as email address, username, and your chosen profile avatar to create and manage an account.
- User Generated Content (UGC): Questions, solutions, images, and messages you upload to the platform. We remind you that content uploaded by users may directly or indirectly contain personal data, and such content may be shown to team members or other users depending on your preferences.
- Analytics and Usage Data: Your in-app interactions, viewed screens, and used features. This data may be processed along with identifiers linked to your account, such as user identity (user_id) and username, to improve the app experience.
- Technical and Device Data: IP address, operating system, device model, and various SDK/advertising identifiers may be processed for the proper functioning of the app, error detection, and ad delivery.
2. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We work with trusted third-party service providers to carry out the core functions of our platform. Your data may be shared with these providers to provide the service, ensure security, and manage the platform:
- Supabase: Database management, user authentication, analytic event logging, and file (image) storage services.
- Google AdMob and UMP: Ad delivery and privacy (consent) management. Even if "non-personalized ads" (NPA) are preferred, the Google SDK may process technical device data and identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, security, and invalid traffic detection purposes.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Sending push notifications to your device.
- Sentry: Error tracking and performance analysis.
- Google Play Billing: In-app purchase and subscription verification. Your bank or payment card information is processed by Google Play and is not directly received by Foldque. Foldque may process limited records such as product ID, subscription status, and transaction verification information for purchase and subscription validation.
3. Error Tracking and Security (Sentry)
We use the Sentry infrastructure to detect crashes and errors that occur in the application. Technical controls are applied to reduce or mask the transmission of certain personal and sensitive fields in error logs. However, technical logs may include device status, application version, operating system, stable user ID (user_id), and limited technical error texts generated by the system.
4. Purchase and Subscription Records
Foldque may retain limited data such as product ID, subscription status, and purchase verification records (tokens) necessary for purchase verification, subscription management, fraud prevention, and applicable financial or legal obligations.
5. Data Retention and Deletion

Violation, security, fraud prevention, and dispute records may be retained for the period required by related purposes and permitted by applicable legislation.
6. Methods of Data Collection and Legal Bases
Your personal data is collected via automatic or partially automatic methods (in-app forms, API calls, log records, cookie-like identifiers) during your use of the Foldque app. The processing purposes and anticipated legal bases are summarized below:

For processing activities involving sensitive data or requiring additional permissions (e.g., personalized advertising based on device permissions), your explicit consent may be sought separately.
7. International Data Transfers
Foldque uses globally operating infrastructure providers. The infrastructure of some of our service providers (e.g., Supabase, Google, Sentry) may be located outside of Turkey, and your personal data may be processed abroad in this context to ensure the uninterrupted and secure operation of the platform. International transfers are carried out taking into account the requirements of applicable data protection laws.
8. Your Rights and Application Method
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- To learn whether your personal data is processed, and if so, to request information regarding this,
- To learn the purpose of the processing and whether they are used appropriately,
- To know the third parties to whom they are transferred domestically or abroad,
- To request correction if they are incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- To request deletion or destruction within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the relevant legislation,
- To object to the emergence of a result against you by analyzing them exclusively through automated systems.

9. Age Requirement
Foldque is designed for users aged 16 and older. Individuals under the age of 16 should not create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 16.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in line with legal requirements or innovations on our platform. In the event of significant changes, we will inform you via the app or via email.
